About the Winery
Diemersfontein has belonged to the Sonnenberg family for 3 generations, dating back to the early 1940s. David’s grandfather, Max, bought the 183-hectare farm, which lies in the shadow of the majestic Hawekwa Mountains and boasts a panoramic view of both Du Toit’s Kloof and Bains’ Kloof mountain ranges.

About the wine
Delicious ripe red berries with undertones of spice and oak deliver a wine with a soft finish, ready to be enjoyed now. Best served with beef bourguignon, roast duck and even fresh grilled tuna.

Winemaking process
Grapes were harvested early in the morning and fermented in tank for days. After fermentation, the wine was matured on French oak staves for months.
